Housekeeper

The core purpose of the housekeeping team is to ensure that the fabric, fittings and furniture of the inside of the school are cleaned to a high standard, thereby positively adding to the overall impression of the school for staff, parents, pupils and visitors alike. As part of the housekeeping team the successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for implementing this within their allocated area and helping other team members as required.

The successful candidate will be hardworking with an attention to detail. They will be able to maintain good humour and a positive attitude while working under pressure.

Head Housekeeper

The core purpose of the role is to ensure that the fabric, fittings and furniture of the inside of the school are clean and, where applicable, tidy at all times. The school needs to be clean and tidy for operational, educational, marketing and health and safety reasons. All work undertaken should be of a high standard thereby positively adding to the overall impression of the school from staff, parents, pupils and visitors alike.

As a core member of the school non-teaching staff the Head Housekeeper will also be asked to undertake a wide variety of tasks. The Head Housekeeper will achieve the majority of the results of the role through the management of the team of housekeepers.

Located in the heart of the English countryside and on the edge of the New Forest, Embley is within easy reach of cities including Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury.

Southampton Central and Southampton Parkway have fast train connections to London. From Romsey, there is a direct line to the West country passing through Salisbury, Bath and Bristol to Cardiff, and Southampton and Portsmouth to the East. Embley is easily accessible by road, being five minutes from the M27 at Junction 2.
