Year 6 had an unforgettable experience during their outward-bound residential trip to the Mill on the Brue Activity Centre in Bruton, Somerset.
The idyllic location presented the perfect backdrop to challenge our pupils in a variety of ways through new and unique experiences led by supportive and knowledgeable instructors. The five-day residential included a range of personal challenges such as tunnelling, the super zip-wire and high ropes to help build the children’s resilience, self-awareness and self-confidence. Exciting team building exercises developed the children’s leadership and communication skills with raft building, assault courses and the crazy Olympics! Pupils also explored environmental awareness, mental and physical wellbeing through activities focusing on garden to table, fire lighting and river ecology. The trip was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to try new things, take risks and stretch themselves in a safe and supportive environment whilst making unforgettable memories.
